After three years, Jerry Lorenzo and adidas released their first footwear and apparel collection when Fear of God Athletics launched in December 2023. This partnership has already produced several sought-after collections, blending high fashion with performance-oriented designs. The Fear of God Athletics 1, a standout model in this collaboration, has captivated sneakerheads with its innovative design and high-quality construction. Building on this momentum, adidas and Fear of God will be launching a new Grey Black colorway in the coming months.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Grey Black maintains the sleek, performance-inspired aesthetic that fans have come to appreciate. The upper features an engineered mesh base that ensures breathability and lightweight comfort. A no-sew synthetic TPU film overlays the mesh, providing durability and a modern look. The predominant blue-ish grey hue of the upper is complemented by a black TPU film on the toebox, adding a striking contrast. The iconic Three Stripes on the midfoot are made from plastic, inspired by the adidas Predator series of cleats, lending a touch of athletic heritage to the design.
Further enhancing the sneaker's functionality and style, the rope laces and bungee lace atop the tongue continue the greyscale theme. Black Fear of God branding on the heel offers a subtle yet distinctive nod to the collaboration, while the insole also hosts Fear of God branding. The tonal outsole encapsulates the advanced Lightstrike Pro cushioning system, ensuring solid comfort and performance.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics 1 Grey Black will release August 3, 2024, through Fear of God, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
