adidas Fear of God Athletics Crafts NCAA Jerseys and Sneakers for Indiana, Kansas, and Miami
Published
Last year, Jerry Lorenzo and his Fear of God Athletics brand, the third and final pillar of the Fear of God brand in partnership with adidas, announced that it would be sponsoring two NCAA basketball programs, the University of Miami and Indiana University. Both schools were able to play in custom-designed FOG Athletics uniforms and special colorways of the adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball I. However, it was given a retooling to perform better on the court. A year later, FOG Athletics has added a third program to the mix — the University of Kansas.
All three schools are getting custom uniforms designed by FOG’s founder, Jerry Lorenzo, and off-court apparel, including socks, shirts, and jackets in each team’s color palette. On top of the apparel, the schools will be given custom adidas Fear of God Athletics Basketball II colorways. Indiana and Kansas will receive Collegiate Red colorways, and UM will get a Court Green rendition. As of this writing, only images of the Collegiate Red are available through social media posts from Indiana and Kansas.

The sneaker retains its performance-oriented design and technical features but bathes the suede and mesh upper in a bright collegiate red finish. This includes the lace set, heel spoiler, tongue, and sockliner. Based on these images, it seems that neither school’s logos are applied to the sneaker, though we still see adidas branding on the heel tab and Fear of God labels on the heel of the sole unit.
Fear of God Athletics’ latest NCAA capsule will debut over the next week as each school plays its rival games. Kansas’ women’s team wore the apparel and shoes in a game last night against UCF, but we will see Miami and Indiana, as well as the Jayhawks’ men's squad, play throughout this week and into mid-next week. If FOG and adidas follow the same pattern as last year, expect the custom sneakers to appear on Fear of God’s website in the coming weeks as exclusive releases.
