Jerry Lorenzo, the mastermind behind Fear of God, finally launched the long-awaited partnership with adidas in December 2023, seamlessly blending his minimalist aesthetic with adidas' technical prowess to create Fear of God Athletics. This collaboration has brought us several standout models, including the Athletics 1, Los Angeles Runner, and '86. Among these, the Los Angeles Runner has particularly shone with its tonal colorways, such as the exclusive Sesame, Clay, and, more recently, Pale Yellow. Continuing this trend, a new Sesame-based colorway is set to debut, reminiscent of the original but with its distinct flair.
The new adidas Fear of God Athletics Los Angeles Sesame Cream features a sophisticated blend of materials and colors that stay true to the Fear of God aesthetic. The upper combines suede and ripstop material, with the latter forming the base. The suede panels adorn the mudguard, Three Stripes, vamp, eyestays, and heel, all in a harmonious, tonal shade.
The laces and lace lock maintain this cohesive look. Underfoot, the sneaker distinguishes itself with a cream midsole, a subtle shift from the true white midsole of the original Sesame colorway. Fear of God branding is prominently displayed on the heel. The design is completed with a grooved rubber outsole that integrates seamlessly with the molded cupsole, ensuring both style and durability.
The adidas Fear of God Athletics Los Angeles Sesame Cream will release on August 3, 2024, through Fear of God, adidas, and select retailers online and in-store.
