Every year, some of the top talent in the NBA makes a trip to China. Those with signature sneakers, like James Harden, often craft special pairs to commemorate the yearly visit, as we saw last year with the Harden Vol. 7 Training Camp. adidas has just released a Harden Vol. 8 in the same colorway he sported during his previous visit to China.
Featuring standard construction for the Harden Vol. 8, the sneaker comes coated in black hues across most of its design, with metallic silver accents on the foam portion along the midfoot. Black leather graces the toe cap, matching the lace set and knit base present along the forefoot and midfoot. A black TPU heel counter adds structure to the sneaker, while the pull tabs along the neoprene bootie help get in and out of the shoe. As mentioned before, the midfoot has a large metallic silver foam overlay extending down to the midsole. Rounding out the look is the semi-translucent grey, black, and purple outsole, encapsulating the full-length Boost cushioning system within.
The adidas Harden Vol. 8 China Tour is currently available in China, with the pair likely remaining exclusive to the region. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at ¥1299 (approx $180 USD). While we won’t have a shot at the pair, there are a few more Harden Vol. 8s dropping before the debut of the Harden 9 in 2025.
