It's hard to remember what the sneaker game was like before adidas launched the NMD R1. Originally released at the end of 2015, the German sportswear brand's lifestyle silhouette completely transformed the industry and gave birth to a whole new generation of sneakerheads. While this model certainly isn't as popular as it was eight years ago, the Three Stripes is hoping to bring it all back with releases like the adidas NMD R1 "Core Black Blue Dawn," so make sure you read on to find out everything that you need to know.
Outfitted in a core black mesh, the sock-like upper fits snugly around your foot, offering ample support with every step. Leather eyestays form the minimalist lacing system, and a pull tab around the heel gives the R1 a look that's ready for everything. A single Trefoil adorns the tongue tag, while embroidered Three Stripe branding shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls for that classic adi aesthetic that we all know and love. All of this sits on top of a full length Boost midsole that continues to be one of the most comfortable cushioning units in the game, and is decorated with blue dawn gradients across the EVA plugs.
Releasing on January 1st, 2023 alongside the adidas NMD R1 "OG Pack," the adidas NMD R1 Core Black Blue Dawn W will be available exclusively in women's sizes for $160 via adidas, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers globally.
