Back in December 2015, adidas completely transformed the fabric of the sneaker scene by revealing the NMD line. A series that fully redefined the culture of hype, people were suddenly spending thousands and thousands on a brand new model, which was totally unheard of at the time. While the Nomad has certainly seen better days, it looks like the German sportswear company is hoping to bring it all back with the upcoming adidas NMD S1 "Black Teal Orange."
A love letter to the original NMD R1, this NMD S1 boasts an almost identical color scheme. Dressed in a slick core black Primeknit upper, mesh paneling across the lateral and medial sidewalls showcase a series of thick Three Stripes. Underfoot, the Boost midsole is dipped in an all-white hue, just like the OG, it's also accented with blue and orange tones for a look that's 100% inspired by the very first NMD. The outsole is then finished off with a selection of neatly-aligned Trefoil logos which nods to some of adi's vintage silhouettes from the '70s.
The adidas NMD S1 Black Teal Orange is set to release sometime in 2023 in men's sizes for $180 via adidas, the CONFIRMED app, and select retailers both online and in-store. More colorways are going to be announced very soon, so make sure you follow Sole Retriever on Twitter and download our officialMobile App to find out everything that you need to know!
