For over twenty years black and red sneakers have often been referred to as “Bred.” This nicknamed originated from the combining of the words “black” and “red.” As this coveted colorway makes its comeback in 2022 on the Air Jordan 1 Mid, Jordan Brand takes advantage of the slang term by literally labeling this pair, “Bred.”
As the text on the midsole says, “Black+Red=Bred.” That term is more prominent that ever on this Air Jordan 1 Mid. Coming in the classic black, red and white color scheme, this pair features an all-leather upper with black and red in its traditional places. What makes this pair stand out from previous releases you say? The all-over text. The word “Black” covers all the black parts of the upper while “Red” dresses well, the red areas. Finishing this pair off is a traditional white midsole and red outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid Bred is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers both in-store and online. Sizing and pricing are to be announced.
