Often seen as the black sheep of the Air Jordan 1 family, the mid-top version of MJ’s first signature may be overlooked by many hardcore sneakerheads while the general public usually sees no difference between the two. It also is a host for many colorways that mimic popular Air Jordan 1 High releases with the latest colorway, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “French Blue Light Steel Grey” looking strikingly similar to the AJ 1 High Hyper Royal that was released in 2021.
Coming in a mixture of blues and greys, red details accent branding details located on the tongue and collar. Along the toebox, tongue, midfoot, and collar sits a white smooth leather, accented by a distressed, almost stone-washed suede denim along the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlays. A darker blue is present on the lace set, borrowing the shade seen on the insole and sockliner. Though the branding details such as the Jumpman and Wings logo come in red, the Nike Swoosh placed on the midfoot comes in steel grey. Underfoot, a white midsole is paired with a clear semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid French Blue Light Steel Grey is set to release this upcoming Fall through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $135 for men's pairs.
