For Jordan Brand, their Air Jordan 1 silhouette in its many forms is still one of the most sought-after sneakers in the eyes of the general public and hardcore sneakerheads alike. While many of these releases often come in men's sizes, there are still quite a few colorways that stay exclusive for children, as is the case with the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid SE "Picnic" (GS).
Taking on a mixture of suede and leather across the overlays and underlays, the silhouette brings a mixture of vibrant colors to provide the kids with a pop of color in their outfits. An almost gradient-like detail is featured on the overlays, going from orange on the mudguard, yellow and grey on the eyestays, and paprika red on the heel overlay, complimenting the white leather panels on the toebox and midfoot. Red flat laces work up to the red and yellow Jumpman branded tongue tag.
A black leather collar is lined with a flannel pattern, tyind back to the picnic theme that is also present on the custom printed insoles. The Nike Swoosh on the midfoot continues the suede design of the overlays, though it comes in a slightly lighter shade of red compared to the rest of the silhouette. Completing the look is the white AJ1 midsole paired with a multi-color rubber outsole borrowing all the colors seen on the upper.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Picnic GS is set to release in September 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in gradeschool, preschool, and toddler sizing, the retail price for GS pairs is set at $120.
