Michael Jordan’s illustrious legacy, characterized by his iconic footwear, always sees renewed life with every Jordan release. The Air Jordan 1, a timeless piece from Jordan's arsenal, has not only defined sneaker culture but continues to evolve and adapt. As sneakerheads gear up for the Air Jordan 3 Fear revival this year, Jordan Brand ups the ante with an intriguing adaptation to the AJ 1 Mid.
This iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE boasts a plethora of dark shades, setting the tone for a sophisticated and bold look. A dark grey suede graces the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlays. In contrast, a slightly lighter grey dominates the base layer, enriched with a cracked suede finish for added texture and depth. The midfoot's Swoosh doesn't shy away, presenting itself in a stark black, perfectly offset by vibrant orange stitching. This same contrasting color is placed on the Jumpman branding atop the tongue, while the Wings logo along the collar comes in a tonal black hue. Final contrasts on the upper come via the grey tongue and lace set. This rests atop a crisp white AJ1 midsole, further complemented by a robust black rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Fear will release October 1, 2023, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Offered in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $135 and $120, respectively.
