We love it when classic silhouettes get a contemporary makeover. Last month, the Dunk Low was unveiled with TPU detailing throughout, and it looks like Michael Jordan's flagship silhouette is getting the same treatment this season with the aptly named Air Jordan 1 Mid "TPU." Made exclusively for little sneakerheads, make sure you read in to find out everything that we know so far, including potential release information and pricing details.
Taking on the ever-popular mid-top basketball shoe, this Air Jordan 1 works on top of a blue tint leather base and is overlaid by tumbled platinum tint paneling throughout. Abstract shapes adorn the lateral and medial sides, and this is contrasted by a striking volt Swoosh which is made from matte TPU. This electrifying accent heads towards the Jumpman tongue tag, the lacing system, and even the rubber outsole underfoot. To round it all off, the legendary winged basketball insignia is stamped across the collar flaps for that unmistakable AJ 1 aesthetic that we all know and love.
Arriving exclusively in kids sizes, the Air Jordan 1 Mid TPU Platinum Tint GS is set to release sometime in Spring 2023. Dropping at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers both online and in-store, retail will be $120, $80, and $65 for gradeschool, pre-school, and toddler pairs. Check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter and official Mobile App. If you're looking for a more in-depth breakdown of the Air Jordan 1 and upcoming releases, check out our Air Jordan 1 Buyers Guide and our Air Jordan 1 Release Dates Page!
