Leaving Seattle in 2008, the Supersonics legacy still lives on today. While they are now the Oklahoma City Thunder, Seattle will always associate green and yellow colors with their former home team.
Jordan Brand has looked to Seattle for inspiration dating back to 1995. Numerous Air Jordan silhouettes have received the green and yellow treatment over the years, the Air Jordan 1 being one of them. These colors are not new to the AJ 1 either; various Sonics-themed iterations have been released over the past fifteen years. If you think you’ve seen them all, guess again. The Air Jordan 1 Mid is back in a Seattle Supersonics themed colorway. Fresh for 2022, it comes in noble green, pollen and white. Featuring an all-leather upper with white underlays and green overlays. Pollen yellow accents are found wrapping around the ankle.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid Sonics is set to release in 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers both in-store and online. They will be available in full-family sizing from men down to toddler. Men’s pairs will retail for $120.
