Since 1985, the red, black, and white combination has been Michael Jordan's signature scheme. While most basketball shoes during the early to mid '80s were all-white, His Airness introduced a pop of fiery color to the hardcourt with the original "Chicago" color scheme. Since then, he has remixed and remastered this winning palette hundreds of times, including the Air Jordan 1 Mid "White Gym Red Black."
One of the latest colorways to hit MJ's mid-top flagship, this Air Jordan 1 bears a striking resemblance to the OG "Chicago" but with a few tweaks here and there. Featuring a predominantly white leather base, it's overlaid with slick black panels across the collar, lacing system, and toebox for a look that's sure to turn heads. A dash of gym red adorns the ankle to spice things up, and this fiery hue extends towards the winged basketball emblem and the rubber outsole underfoot. Tying it all together is a Nike Swoosh that shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, placing the finishing touches on the unmistakably Jumpman aesthetic.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid White Gym Red Black is set to release sometime in 2023. It will be available in men's, gradeschool, pre-school, and toddler sizes for $125, $110, $75, and $60, respectively. Expected to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Jordan Brand retailers, check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter and the Mobile App. If you're looking for a more in-depth breakdown of the Air Jordan 1 and upcoming releases, take a look at our Air Jordan 1 Buyers Guide and our Air Jordan 1 Release Dates Page too.
