The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reimagined Black Toe Has Been Delayed to 2025

Jordan Brand continues to innovate and pay homage to its heritage with the latest addition to its Jordan 1 Reimagined series - the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reimagined Black Toe. This series, which began in 2021 with the Patent Bred, has consistently brought classic retros into the modern era with fresh twists. Following the path blazed by the Jordan 1 Lost and Found and Jordan 1 Reimagined Royal, as well as the Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined and Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined, the Black Toe colorway is set to receive an update in Holiday 2024.

According to Complex, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reimagined Black Toe will feature a distinctive branding change in the ankle collar. Instead of the traditional Jordan Wings logo, this model is said to showcase Air Jordan debossed onto the collar, mimicking the style seen in Michael Jordan's original 1985 promotional photos. This isn't the first time we've seen a Jordan 1 feature this OG branding, as the Rare Air series from 2017 saw Air Jordan on the ankle collar.

Jordan Brand maintains the full-leather upper that fans have come to love. The iconic color blocking remains faithful to the original, with black leather adorning the mudguard, eyestays, collar, tongue, and Swoosh, contrasted against white on the toe and midfoot panel, and complemented by red on the collar overlay and heel overlay. An added detail is the text on the medial collar, which reads, "My very best, Michael Jordan."

Packaging for the sneaker is also updated as the box features the famous image of Michael Jordan with the sample version of the Black Toe colorway that inspires this new Reimagined iteration. Inside you can also find original sketches and inspirations for the Jumpman and Air Jordan logos.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reimagined Black Toe was originally set to release on October 18, 2024. However, it has been delayed to 2025. It's possible that some retailers may release on the original date, but Nike and the vast majority of retailers will hold their drop in 2025. It will be available in full-family sizing, with the retail price set at $180 for men's pairs, $140 for GS, $85 for PS, and $70 for TD.
