The highly technical look of the Air Jordan 1 Utility has been polarizing, to say the least. Although each of the stash pockets are removable and the first black-based colorway sold out, the jury is still out on whether this reimagining of the AJ 1 is appealing to the more selective sneakerhead audience. Up next comes a clean white and black colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Utility, with canvas and ripstop materials adding to the upgraded material vibe of the silhouette.
The upper of the Air Jordan 1 Utility "White Black" is a mix of canvas overlays with ripstop nylon underlays, done in all-white. Black branding accents the the Jordan Wings logo printed on the ankle collar, as well as the tongue tag, which features Nike Air in white. The stash pockets anchored to the mid panels and against the heel of the sneaker are made up of ripstop nylon with black buckles and straps to hold them in place. All this sits atop a sail-colored sole for a fun pop of vintage detailing to complete the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Utility Canvas White Black is set to release overseas on August 30th, 2022. A stateside release is set to follow in September. It will drop at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in men's sizes, retail is set at $190.
