In December 2020, Jordan Brand celebrated the Air Jordan 11’s 25th Anniversary with the “Jubilee” Air Jordan 11 Retro as well as the first Air Jordan to feature auto-lacing technology, the Air Jordan 11 Adapt. Now as we look to close out the Holiday 2021 season, JB is bringing back the coveted Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cool Grey” as well as an all-new AJ 11 Adapt.
Nicknamed the “University Blue” edition, the second ever Air Jordan 11 Adapt draws inspiration from the classic “Columbia” Air Jordan 11, now known as “Legend Blue.” These self-lacing kicks feature a white-based synthetic upper with a grid-like pattern throughout. Platinum grey suede replaces the traditional patent leather mudguard while Nike’s E.A.R.L. technology is found in the midsole. University Blue accents and a full icy blue translucent outsole bring things altogether.
The Air Jordan 11 Adapt “University Blue” is set to release in late December 2021. They will launch exclusively via the Nike SNKRS app. They will be available in men’s sizes retailing for $500. Each pair comes in special packaging with a charger and instruction manual. Update 12/21: Nike has officially announced a release date for the Air Jordan 11 Adapt "Dark Powder Blue" aka "University Blue." It will be available exclusively via the Nike SNKRS app on December 28th, 2021.
