The Air Jordan 11 has always been a hallmark of innovation and style in the world of sneakers, with the yearly holiday release a staple in the sneaker community. For 2023, Jordan Brand paid homage to the DMP Jordan 11 with the Air Jordan 11 Gratitude, selling out across the board and commanding decent prices on the resale market. If you’ve been looking for the Gratitude 11s, you’re in luck, as the pair will be coming back, though it will feature cleats for both the football and baseball fields.
This new cleated version of the Air Jordan 11 Gratitude is not just a reissue but a reimagining of the classic design tailored for athletic performance. It will be available in two styles: the Mid TD and the MCS Cleat, catering to different playing surfaces and athlete preferences. Despite this functional transformation, the essence of the Jordan 11 Gratitude remains intact. The cleats maintain the same aesthetic appeal as the original version, tumbled leather upper and all.
However, subtle changes distinguish the Gratitude Cleat from its predecessor. Most notably, the patent leather mudguard adopts a lower cut, reminiscent of earlier retros of the Jordan 11. This design not only nods to the model's heritage but also ensures optimal performance and comfort on the field. The cleated sole unit is a significant departure from the traditional sneaker version, offering enhanced grip and stability for athletes.
The release of the Air Jordan 11 Gratitude Cleat marks a significant moment, as it's the first time since 2018 that the Jordan 11 has been reinterpreted as a cleat.
The Air Jordan 11 Gratitude Cleat was released on February 6, 2024 through select retailers while a drop through Nike will take place sometime in the coming weeks. Both the Mid TD Cleat and MCS Cleat will retail for $200. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release and more.
