As of late, we’ve seen a slew of looksee samples from Jordan Brand hit the net that has provided us a glimpse into the design process of some iconic colorways across the Air Jordan lineup. Recently seen with samples like the “Alternate Bel-Air,” the classic Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue” also received an alternate colorway during its sample process and detailed images have just landed.
Not straying too far from the classic Gamma Blue colorway, this "Alternate" sample draws inspiration from the Charlotte Hornets and CP3, while still maintaining the mostly all-black look. The upper is comprised of patent leather and Cordura mesh, while swapping out the gamma blue hits on the Jumpman logo for concord purple. Along the tongue where the Jumpman and Jordan text are placed sits a gamma blue hit and concord purple, taking over each detail respectively. Working back to the heel, the “23” text is also found in gamma blue as is the lining of the tongue while the entire look is rounded out by a black AJ 11 midsole paired with a black and gamma blue rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 11 Alternate Gamma Blue Looksee Sample will likely forever remain a sample, though hopefully we do receive a retro of the Gamma Blue AJ 11 in the near future.
