The Air Jordan 11 Retro “72-10” edition was originally released in December 2015. It was made to pay tribute to the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls regular season record where they went 72-10 and later went on to win another NBA championship. The record went untouched until the Golden State Warriors went 73-9 during the 2015-16 season. But going 73-9 doesn't mean a thing, without a ring, right?
Back to the topic at hand. Seven years after their debut, the AJ 11 “72-10” is set for a comeback, this time in low-top form. Staying true to its original design, the sneaker comes in a black, gym red, white and sail colorway. Sporting an all-black leather upper with microfiber suede overlays as opposed to the all-suede upper seen in early mock-ups. Gym Red accents the Jumpman branding throughout, while a custom inside tongue tag gives a nod to the Bulls' historic season. An iridescent shine on the patent leather mudguard is finished off by a milky translucent rubber outsole.
