Just over one week ago, we were given detailed looks at Jordan Brand signee Jayson Tatum’s AJ 14 Low PE, taking major design inspiration from Tatum’s 66’ Ford Mustang. While that pair is likely to remain exclusive to the man himself, official images have emerged that show us an Air Jordan 36 that comes in a very similar makeup to the AJ 14 that was just showcased.
Dressed in stealthy black across the majority of the sneaker, hints of white throughout provide some contrast to this Mustang-like AJ 36. Leno-weave wraps around the toe back to the heel, separated from the mesh and tumbled leather tongue buy hits of black and white patent leather. On this tongue, the usual Jumpman branding gets reworked to appear like the classic Ford Mustang logo. Working back to the heel, a red spoiler peeks out just below a red, white, and blue flag that is painted on the nylon pull tab. Rounding out the look is the black midsole featuring a carbon fiber plate and Zoom Air cushioning paired with a white semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 36 Tatum Team Mustang is set to release on September 9th, 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200. Check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
