With news of the Air Jordan 37 on the horizon, Jordan Brand is still showing its latest performance basketball model love with a slew of colorways on the horizon, including a crispy all-white look. Though the Quai 54 tournament has passed, it seems Jordan Brand isn’t leaving Paris just yet with the latest Air Jordan 36 paying homage to the City of Love.
Constructed with the latest tech JB has to offer, the upper comes mixed with a Leno-weave base and overlaid with 3M reflective TPU strips. Along the toe, eyestays, collar, and tongue are the aforementioned TPU strips in a beige shade that feature a print of what appears to be the chaotic street design of Paris. Weaving in-and-out of the eyestays is a two-tone set of laces in a purple and pink design, broken up by a lace cover featuring a purple embroidered Jumpman. Placed behind the tongue is a label denoting the pair number, as this release will be limited to 2,629 pairs.
Running back from toebox to heel is the Leno-weave mesh that takes on a gradient effect of pink to purple, also home to a tag near the collar with “Paname” text that nods to one of the many nicknames of the French capital. Underfoot is the AJ 36 midsole, coming in white with both a gradient purple to pink design and a window in the center hosting a carbon fiber plate and Jumpman branding. Rounding out the look is an icy blue semi-translucent rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 36 Paris is slated for a small release in France this July with a possible wider release in the Fall of 2022 through Nike and select retailers, though only 2,629 pairs are to be available to the public. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
