The Air Jordan 4 has undeniably become prominent within Jordan Brand’s expansive lineup of retro sneakers. While the sneaker continues to emerge in fan-favorite colorways and new collaborations, we've seen the silhouette undergo makeovers that fundamentally change the look of the iconic sneaker, like the Jordan 4 RM and the Jordan 4 NET. Following the White colorway of the plastic net-covered AJ4 is an inverted Black color.
Like the NET White colorway released in December, this Air Jordan 4 Retro extends the plastic netting usually found on the midfoot panel and the tongue to cover a large portion of the midfoot and tongue. Aside from this obvious change that, in turn, makes the lacing setup useless, we see a smooth leather construction take over the paneling on the toe, mudguard, collar, and heel.
More black details are found on the Jumpman logos of the tongue and heel tab, the sockliner, and the Wing eyelets. Metallic silver charms are added to the net, one hosting a small Jumpman logo and the other spelling out 1985, the year MJ's first signature sneaker, the Air Jordan 1, was released. Finishing the design is the blacked-out midsole and outsole.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro NET Black W was released on February 26, 2025, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $210.
