With 2022 marking the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 7, Jordan Brand has been celebrating this milestone with new colorways of the classic silhouette. In fact, every AJ 7 set to release in 2022 outside of the original “Cardinal” pair is new. Along with the OGs mentioned, another familiar Air Jordan 7 Retro is set to drop this holiday season.
Taking design cues from both the original “Bordeaux” and "Cardinal" colorways, this Air Jordan 7 Retro SE features OG colorblocking with the only major differences being the colors used. Instead of black and light graphite, the upper is composed of black and neutral olive. Cherrywood Red a la the Air Jordan 16 replaces the traditional “Bordeaux” accents, while greens and golds are swapped out for chutney and taxi. "Afro Beats" style accents and "Nike Air" branding on the back heels further the new look for this AJ 7.
The Air Jordan 7 Retro SE Black Olive was originally set to release on January 7th, 2023. After a small delay, it will now drop on January 7th, 2023 at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Check out our Jordan release calendar, and keep it locked to our Twitter and the Mobile App. If you're looking for a more in-depth breakdown of the Air Jordan 7 and upcoming releases, take a look at our Air Jordan 7 Buyers Guide and our Air Jordan 7 Release Dates Page!
