Anthony Edwards has quickly become one of the most electrifying players in the NBA, and his partnership with adidas has produced one of the hottest basketball sneakers on the market. The adidas AE 1, Edwards' signature model, has gained significant popularity since its launch in late 2023. Various colorways of the new low-top iteration have emerged, including the MX Grey, MX Red, and the Mural iteration. During the Timberwolves' Game 1 loss against the Dallas Mavericks, Edwards rocked the adidas AE 1 Low Slime Green on the court, a colorway he previously wore during a practice session.
Following news that Edwards and adidas have signed a multi-year contract extension, Sole Retriever can confirm that the AE 1 Low Slime will be hitting shelves in September.
The adidas AE 1 Low Slime Green showcases a striking two-tone design that will turn heads on and off the court. The sneaker features adidas' innovative Primeblue material, known for its sustainable properties, combined with a honeycomb TPU midfoot panel for added support. The futuristic panel is highlighted in a vibrant slime green, complemented by matching accents on the toe and the iconic Three Stripes branding on the heel tab. Branding for Edwards is found on the tongue tag, which sports his AE logo, while more Three Stripes branding gets placed on the insole. The sneaker's performance is further enhanced by a slime green midsole and outsole, which houses adidas' Light Boost cushioning technology, providing optimal comfort and energy return during gameplay.
The adidas AE 1 Low Slime will release on September 21, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's and GS sizing, the retail price is set at $110 and $90, respectively.
