Although Anti Social Social Club and BAPE are not at the peaks of their mid-2010s hype, the two coming together for a collaborative capsule is always noteworthy. For the duo’s latest project, they’ve injected a floral motif into various apparel pieces and two pieces of footwear: the Shark STA and Bape STA ICON.
Both pairs in the collection come in the same color palette and feature the same floral graphic pattern on the base layer. Here, you’ll find a rose pattern, a common motif found throughout the collection, placed on the leather base, while black patent leather overlays wrap across the various panels of the upper. At first glance, you might overlook the Anti Social Social Club branding as it’s been reserved for the heel tab. Instead, the usual BAPE logos and branding details remain in their usual spots: a star logo and APE head on the profile of the Bape STA ICON and the BAPE tag and logos on the tongue of the Shark STA. Finishing the design of both pairs is the white midsole with BAPE logos paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Anti Social Social Club x BAPE Collection, including the Shark STA and BAPE STA ICON, will release on October 26, 2024, through BAPE, Anti Social Social Club, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the Shark STA is priced at 41,800 Yen (approx $275) and the Bape STA ICON at 35,200 Yen (approx $230).
