Techy mesh runners dominated fashion trends over the last 12 months, and Asics has masterfully navigated this boom in a category it specializes in. On the budget-friendly side of things is the Gel-1130 model, which has become one of the most popular models on the market, as you’d be hard-pressed NOT to find a pair when navigating the streets. Although not an official homage or collaboration, a new pack of vibrant colors has emerged that gives off Cosmo and Wanda vibes from The Fairly OddParents.
Both pairs in this pack feature the same construction and appearance sans the color of the mesh base. Vibrant pink hues land on the Wanda colorway, while Cosmo’s volt green hair is translated onto the mesh. Both come with the Y2K-inspired metallic silver overlays the silhouette is well-known for, coating the mudguard, Asics tiger stripes, vamp, eyestays, and heel overlay.
Black details line the inside of select panels, including the mudguard, tiger stripes, and heel overlay, while the mesh sockliner also takes on this darker hue. Throughout the rest of the sneaker, we see standard Asics logos, including the Gel-1130 and Asics branding on the tongue and the Gel text back on the heel. Down below, both colors feature the same white foam midsole with Gel inserts taking on the primary shade on each pair and a tonal rubber outsole.
The Asics Gel-1130 Cosmo and Wanda Pack will release in Spring 2025 through Asics and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, pricing information has yet to be announced.
