Although atmos has left the US market, the Japanese-based retailer is stronger than ever in its collab game. Every month, we see multiple projects launch that come in collaboration with atmos, including the ultra-limited New Balance 580 Land(E)scape, a tuxedo-inspired adidas Samba, and one of the first Adizero Aruku colorways to hit the market. atmos is continuing its streak of collaboration projects, hosting a three-way project with Baggage Coffee and Puma on the Palermo silhouette.
The coffee shop, about a 5-minute walk from atmos’ Harajuku location, is inspired by Tokyo's football culture and features the blue colors of atmos and the shop itself. This blue suede finish is applied to most of the upper, harkening back to classic terrace soccer shoes from the past. Puma Palermo branding is stamped in gold on a tag that rests above the white Formstrip on the midfoot, but beneath this is a hidden nod to Baggage Coffee. The shop’s dog mascot, Pele, is engraved here in gold. More gold is found on the Puma logo on the heel. Inside, the silhouette comes with a white leather sockliner and co-branded logos on the insole, Puma and atmos logos on the right shoe, and Baggage Coffee on the left pair. Finishing the design is the gum rubber midsole and outsole.
The atmos Tokyo x Baggage Coffee x Puma Palermo will release on November 7, 2024, exclusively through Puma online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at 14,300 yen (approx $95 USD).
