Across LaMelo Ball’s signature sneakers, the standard mid-cut variant gets chopped down into a low-top near the end of the model’s lifecycle. This rings true again as Puma has officially unveiled the Puma MB.04 Low, launching in the Alien Skin colorway.
Outside of the obvious height difference, the Puma MB.04 introduces a new tongue and heel design, the latter taking on the shape and hosting LaMelo’s phoenix wing logo. For its base layer, we see a double-layered engineered mesh mesh with multi-zoned materials for targeted support. Gone are the 4D alien tentacle-inspired TPU overlays; instead, the reinforcement comes from a semi-transparent fused TPU film on the eyelets, vamp, and toe.

As for its color palette, this Alien Skin rendition sees a scaly blue and red graphic pattern applied to the mesh base, allowing the light sky blue hues of the Formstrip, the lace set, and the leather tongue to shine bright. Final details include red hits on the 1 logos along the tongue and the phoenix wing on the heel. The same midsole and outsole setup from the MB.04 sits below, featuring Nitro Foam cushioning and an alien-themed traction pattern.
The Puma MB.04 Low Alien Skin will release on April 18, 2025, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is $115 and $105, respectively.
