Puma and LaMelo Ball are teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to launch four different sneakers that take characters from the beloved franchise and bring them to life on Melo’s performance basketball models. While the four turtles come split between two different MB.04 colors, one with Donatello & Raphael and the other with Michelangelo & Leonardo, and their villains on the MB.01 (Baxter Stockman) and MB.03 Low (Krang), some key characters are still missing from the collection. That’s where this previously unseen MB.04 comes in, with the pair paying homage to the Turtles’ biggest villain — Shredder.
The pair differs from a traditional MB.04, using metallic silver leather on the base layer, stretching across the entire silhouette. Above this sits purple embroidered alien tentacle-inspired designs that run in tandem with the metallic silver tentacle overlays. These metallic silver details help create branding for LaMelo Ball, including his 1 Of One and Rare monikers.

Shredder's claw weapon helps create the Formstrip on the midfoot, with the villain's hand extending from the heel to help make this logo. Other hits of Shredder branding come found on the tongue, where his shuriken can be found amongst the rest of the LaMelo Ball's logos. Another nod to Shredder comes placed on the heel as his face is depicted in between Puma and Melo branding. The tonal midsole finishes the sneaker with metallic silver details on the front half and a semi-translucent rubber outsole.
While the rest of Puma and LaMelo Ball's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collaborations will be released throughout February in a traditional fashion, this Puma MB.04 Shredder colorway will only be gifted to those who purchase all four other Melo TMNT sneakers in the collection. According to Puma's site, there are only 444 pairs available.
