Although LiAngelo Ball is finding success as a rapper, especially with his hit song Tweaker, and Lonzo is holding his own as a Chicago Bull, LaMelo Ball has had the most success among the three Ball brothers. He also is the only brother with his signature sneaker from a major sportswear brand. This Puma MB line is now onto its fourth sneaker, the MB.04. For its latest makeover, the MB.04 pays homage to LaMelo Ball’s position as the Golden Child, mimicking a colorway from his MB.01.
Across the mesh and TPU-laden upper, this MB.04 comes coated in golden hues: light gold on its mesh base and matte gold on its 3D alien tentacle-inspired overlays. These overlays wrap across the toebox back to the midfoot, forming branding details for LaMelo, like his “1 Of One” and “Rare” monikers. Accenting hues of black are found on the vamp, the spine of the tongue, and the phoenix logo atop the tongue’s golden leather overlay.

Other gold details include the Puma Formstrip on the midfoot and the custom graphic on the heel tab. Here, we see LaMelo depicted as a cherub between his LaFrance brand’s logo. Below, the Nitro Foam-infused midsole has a golden finish on the foam and TPU portions and a matching hue on the rubber outsole.
The Puma MB.04 Golden Child will release on March 14, 2025, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and GS sizing, the retail price is $125 and $105, respectively.
