BEAMS Is Back For A Triple Collab With Barber Sakota and Puma
Published
Fresh off the reveal of their upcoming triple collab with Paperboy Paris and New Balance, BEAMS is looking at a new duo of contributors for their latest release. While Nike may have beat them to the punch with their Dunk Low Barbershop, BEAMS is staying local by working with Barber Sakota and Puma on the upcoming BEAMS x Barber Sakota x Puma Suede.
Keeping the DNA of the iconic Puma Suede, Beams and Barber Sakota add their unique details through custom graphics, its slightly tweaked design, and its made-in-Japan construction. Across the entire upper, a stark white suede takes over, staying monochromatic on the laces and Puma branding. On the tongue, a barbershop pole with its red, white, and blue design acts as a lace loop, sitting just below the co-branded Puma and Barber Sakota tongue tag. The mesh tongue and sockliner get beefed up with extra padding. Barber Sakota is also represented through the embossed BBS text on the heel as well as the insoles red, white, and blue hair clipper graphic with Puma co-branding to match the color scheme. Underfoot, a white-on-white midsole and outsole combo complete the look.
The BEAMS x Barber Sakota x Puma Suede is slated to release exclusively in Japan on July 9th, 2022 through a pop-up event at BEAMS Japan, which will also have matching apparel for sale. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at approximately $170 USD.
