This week promises to deliver an array of designs from adidas — key among them a collection of Ultraboost 1.0s made for 11 different universities across the country.
For women who believe ball is life, the launch of the adidas Exhibit Select Mid silhouette warrants a mark on the calendar. Designed specifically by women for women, the brand-new performance basketball model debuts in a colorway honoring Candace Parker.
adidas will also launch two vibrant colorways of the Adizero Select. Team colorways in “Red” and “Blue” are ideal for those hooping in leagues at the rec or school. More retro-oriented basketball releases include the adidas Forum in three fresh colorways, two of which are for the Forum Low and one for the Forum Mid.
Finally, we will see the adidas OZWEEGO arriving in two thrilling colorways. The first stands out for its all-pink design, while the second features a clean white base with delightful teal accents.
Down below, we go further in depth with a detailed list of this week’s best adidas sneaker releases. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
adidas Ultraboost 1.0 ATR “Collegiate Pack” (July 15)
Eleven different universities get their own Ultraboost 1.0 ATR this week: ASU, Texas A&M, Miami, NC State, Washington, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Kansas, Grambling State, and Rutgers. Each sneaker contains co-branded details, outdoor-ready sole units, and quick lacing systems. Unlike other collegiate Ultraboost colorways, these pairs feature the name, location, and coordinates for each school on the tongue tag, in addition to a phrase unique to each school. Look for each to release July 15 for $200 a piece.
adidas OZWEEGO "Lucid Pink" (July 15)
The adidas OZWEEGO “Lucid Pink” is sure to turn heads and comes just in time for Barbie: The Movie. The sneaker maintains its usual mesh, TPU, and leather construction while coming covered primarily in shades of pink. Below the adiPRENE+ midsole sits a cream-colored outsole contrasting the rest of the sneaker.
adidas OZWEEGO "Cloud White Flash Aqua” (July 15)
Bringing us back to the ‘90s is the adidas OZWEEGO “Cloud White Flash Aqua.” The combination of neutral hues and vibrant colors should be familiar '90s babies and anyone older. The model features a mesh base in white with leather and TPU overlays in cream-based hues. Pops of aqua are present on the adidas branding along the tongue and midfoot.
adidas Adizero Select "Team Red" (July 15)
The Three Stripes is bringing forth a team-based colorway on the Adizero Select, a lightweight performance basketball sneaker. Across the mesh and TPU upper we see a simple combination of red, black, and white. Underfoot, the Lightstrike sole unit features a gradient pattern transitioning from red to white from the toe to heel.
adidas Adizero Select "Team Blue" (July 15)
Just like the “Team Red” colorway, the Adizero Select "Team Blue” retains its performance basketball features while covered primarily in its namesake color. White and black accents come sprinkled throughout the Lightstrike sole unit, which also features a blue-to-white gradient.
adidas Exhibit Select Mid “Candace Parker” PE (W) (July 15)
Candace Parker is helping adidas introduce its latest performance basketball model, the Exhibit Select Mid. The model was designed using data from various female athletes and features a neoprene bootie that molds to the foot of the wearer. For this “Candace Parker” PE colorway, the model receives a regal mix of purple, gold, and white. Another detail for the WNBA superstar can be found with her nickname “Ace” featuring on the shoe’s lateral side.
adidas Forum Mid "Cloud White Dark Blue" (W) (July 15)
The women’s-exclusive adidas Forum Mid “Cloud White Dark Blue” features dark blue accents on the striping, collar, tongue lining, and rubber portion near the heel. Yellow details are then present on branding for the tongue and lockdown strap, as well as portions of the stripes at midfoot. The rest of the upper gets a clean cloud white look, while the sole unit features white and dark blue.
adidas Forum Low "Cloud White Green" (July 15)
Appearing almost like a watermelon with its green and pink color scheme, the adidas Forum Low “Cloud White Green” follows similar color-blocking to the previous Forum Mid on this list. The majority of the sneaker comes in white leather, with pops of color arriving on the branding, tongue lining, and rubber portion near the heel.
adidas Forum Low "Night Indigo" (July 15)
The adidas Forum Low "Night Indigo" keeps it simple with a two-tone white and night indigo color scheme. Most of the upper’s leather panels are clad in night indigo, while the Three Stripes, toe box, and sockliner come in white. Underfoot, this color scheme continues with a white midsole and night indigo outsole.
