Bianca Chandôn Dresses Four Vault By Vans Silhouettes

Founded back in 2014 by Alex Olson, Bianca Chandôn has blended the world of high fashion and skateboarding through its design inspirations from the 70s counterculture, 80s clubbing, and the 90s anti-fashion sentiment. The thought behind most pieces comes from cultural ideas that aren’t at the forefront of the collective thought, as seen on the star-laden and distressed Bianca Chandôn x Vault by Vans Collection.

While everyone is familiar with the concept of star patterns, whether that be through childhood memories of the abstract thought of the universe, Alex Olson’s label takes inspiration from the iconic checkerboard pattern seen on many Vans’ silhouettes and applies it to the Sk8-Hi Reissue VLT LX, Old Skool VLT LX, Authentic VLT LX, and the Classic Slip-On VLT LX. Classic color schemes of black/white, red/white, blue/white, and white/black take over the silhouettes respectively, though the canvas and suede uppers get distressed, appearing pre-worn. In lieu of the checkerboard pattern, a five-pointed star pattern is printed across the base layer of all four sneakers while the sole units borrow the worn-in look. Completing the entire design is the Bianca Chandôn branding that looks almost handwritten on the heel counter in faded blue ink.

The Bianca Chandôn x Vault by Vans Collection is set to release on August 20th, 2022 through select retailers while a vans.com release is slated for August 23rd.
