The Vans Superlow Pro Debuts March 2025

For decades, Vans has constantly pushed the boundaries of style and innovation. In its latest release, Vans is reviving the DNA of its 1980s athletic line with the Super Lowpro, a silhouette that takes inspiration from the classic Vans Serio line—particularly the Serio Competition Shoe Style 84—and reinterprets it for today’s trendsetters.
The Super Lowpro keeps a sleek, low-profile design, maintaining key elements that made the Vans Serio collection a standout in the ‘80s. The shoe, featuring a zig-zag eyestay, T-Toe shape, and heritage tongue logo, carries a strong nostalgia that mimics the look of models from other brands, like the adidas Taekwondo and Nike Cortez. The midsole sits extra low, a defining characteristic of vintage running shoes, but is updated with EVA foam cushioning to enhance lightweight flexibility and comfort. A modernized Sidestripe with a two-layer construction further elevates the aesthetic, giving the sneaker a subtle yet elevated presence in any wardrobe.

“For inspiration we dug deep into the Vans archives and discovered the Vans Serio collection, our vintage runner from the ‘80s,” says Angela Ardila Coutts, Head of Design, Advanced Concepts at Vans. “We were empowered to reinterpret the silhouette, so we set out to craft a low profile sneaker paying homage to Vans’ heritage while connecting with today’s trendsetting catalysts.”
The Vans Super Lowpro will debut on March 10, 2025, in the Racing Red and Marshmallow colorways. The Sepia Rose colorway will launch on April 1, 2025. The sneaker will retail between $80 and $85 and be available through Vans.com and select retailers.
