Gracing the cover of Vogue just this past week, Billie Eilish has had one of the biggest ascensions in the music industry over the last few years as the 21-year-old superstar has been in the limelight since she was coming out of her teenage years. With this, she has had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest brands in the world, and when it comes to sneakers she chose to work with Jordan Brand and Nike. So far the partnership has given us a slew of Air Force 1s, a Jordan 15, and a lime-green AJKO 1, but now Eilish is helping debut the all-new Jordan Hex Mule with a stealthy “Black” colorway.
Obviously drawing comparisons to the adidas Yeezy Slide, the silhouette comes made up of a sugarcane-derived foam Jordan Brand dubs “Bio Foam” and utilizes a one-piece construction with Billie’s take on the model coming in all-black. Looking from a top-down view, the “Hex” naming convention makes sense with the squared-off toecap and heel as well as the hexagonal protrusions seen on the lateral and medial forefoot. Unlike the Jordan Hex Slide, the front of the model comes closed off and the outsole below takes on a different appearance while the branding details on the footbed and midfoot remain the same. Billie Eilish comes into the picture via the co-branded box that takes on an almost all-black finish and features logos from Eilish and Jordan Brand.
The Billie Eilish x Jordan Hex Mule SP Black W is set to release overseas on February 23rd, 2023. A stateside drop will follow in the coming weeks. It will be available through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $65.
