Known mainly for their workwear, Carhartt’s WIP division has been leaning into the streetwear side of fashion since 2010. With this, a flurry of collaborations have made their way to consumers including fragment, Converse, and Nike. Now in 2022, Carhartt WIP is being tapped by Converse once again to work on both the Converse One Star Pro and the Converse Fastbreak Pro.
The duo of sneakers come dressed in shades of white, black, and beige, with durable materials making up the construction of the upper. On the Converse One Star Pro, Carhartt WIP places suede across the toebox and eyestays while the rest of the upper comes dressed in a mix of tumbled and matted leather. The blacked-out tongue and laces both feature co-branded logos as well as the suede heel tab. Rounding out the look is a mainly black midsole with a hit of gum at the toe and a gum rubber outsole.
The Converse Fastbreak Pro takes the same design motifs as the One Star Pro, but mixes things up a bit. The entire front half of the upper comes dressed in a cream suede while the rear features leather. Co-branding and the blacked-out tongue remain while the midsole and outsole combo come split with black and gum respectively.
The Carhartt WIP x Converse Pack is set to release on March 31st, 2022 through Converse.com and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the One Star Pro will retail for $100 and the Fastbreak Pro for $110.
