Converse Signs Boston Celtics Guard Payton Pritchard to Endorsement Deal
Published
Bolstering a roster of NBA talent that already includes dynamic stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Kelly Oubre Jr, Converse Basketball has just signed Boston Celtics guard and NBA champion Payton Pritchard.
As a rising talent known for clutch performances and fearless playmaking, Payton Pritchard will represent Converse Basketball's latest footwear offerings, like the Converse All-Star BB Trilliant CX. His signing further cemented Converse's deep-rooted connection to Boston, which the footwear brand has called home for over a century, aligning him with a legacy of Celtics legends who have previously worn the iconic Star Chevron.
With Payton Pritchard now on board, expect Converse Basketball to continue pushing the boundaries of design and performance, delivering sneakers tailored for athletes who make a statement both in the game and in their communities. This news is not too far removed from SGA, Converse’s first signature athlete in years, revealing his Shai 001 sneaker, which will launch in Fall 2025.

"As a player, I’m always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what’s possible, and Converse shares that same mindset,” Pritchard said. “I’m excited to join the Converse Basketball family and help inspire the next generation of athletes to find their voice and express themselves on and off the court.”
“With a shared commitment to the sport and our community, Payton and Converse are poised to make an impact in the world of basketball, both here in Boston and beyond,” Converse CEO Jared Carver said. "As Converse Hoops continues to gain momentum, we're excited to partner with Payton, amplify his passion and commitment to the game, and inspire a new generation of creatives to follow in his footsteps."
The brand stated that it will share more information on the partnership in the future. If Pritchard's stock continues to rise, we might see a signature model from the Celtics star down the line.
