CLOT x adidas Stan Smith Espadrille White Green

While sneakerheads have come to know Edison Chen and CLOT through its variety of Nike collaborations over the last decade-plus, Chen moved his company’s allegiance to The Three Stripes when it signed a deal with adidas at the end of 2023. Since then, a handful of different products have been released to the public, reconstructing classic models like the Gazelle and Superstar through a classic European footwear lens. In what marks the first Stan Smith release from CLOT and adidas, the duo will add espadrille sole units to the iconic tennis sneaker.

Two different colorways of the CLOT x adidas Stan Smith Espadrille have been made for this first release, one in the ever-popular White Green build that has become synonymous with the model and another in a Black Green combo that plays with the material makeup of the sneaker. Both versions reconstruct, or should we say deconstruct, the sneaker to allow for a collapsable heel and a more relaxed, broken-in feel. On the white pair, we see stark white leather across the upper, perforated Three Stripes on the midfoot, Chinese characters added to the toe, and green leather on the heel tab.

For the Black Green colorway, the upper is coated in a premium suede finish and also features some of the same details as the white pair, like the Chinese characters embroidered on the toe. However, the heel tab opts for a material that has graced the Superstar in the past, green chenille, which resembles the same material used on the Homer Simpson Stan Smith from 2023. Finishing the design of both pairs are the co-branded CLOT and adidas insoles and tonal espadrille sole units.

The CLOT x adidas Stan Smith Espadrille Pack will release in July 2025 through adidas, Juice Store, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
