For over a century, the Chuck Taylor All-Star by Converse has been a symbolic icon of fashion and culture, embraced by diverse individuals from athletes to artists. Its classic design, featuring a canvas upper, the recognizable All-Star patch, rubber toe cap, and vulcanized pinstripe sole, has transcended generations and remained a staple in style and self-expression.
In the past five years, Converse has embarked on a journey of innovation, experimenting with new styles to offer fresh forms of expression. Their latest creation, the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared, is part of this pioneering journey. Joining the Chuck 70 De Luxe family, which includes the recently unveiled Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel and Chuck 70 De Luxe Wedge, this new iteration presents a bold take on the traditional Chuck 70 design.
The De Luxe Squared stands out with its reimagined, angular squared toe cap, replacing the iconic rounded rubber toe of the classic Chuck 70. The upper maintains the essential Chuck Taylor DNA, showcasing detailed stitching and a distinctive octangular All-Star patch, which adds an innovative twist to the timeless silhouette.
Helping debut the model and taking the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared to a whole new level of luxury and brilliance, Swarovski has joined forces with Converse for a special colorway. Like Converse, the luxury brand has played a significant role in defining moments in fashion and culture, becoming a symbol of innovation and self-expression. Each pair features over 1,300 individual Swarovski crystals.
The Converse Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared Swarovski W will release on February 1, 2024, through Nike SNKRS, Converse, and select online and in-store retailers. Available in women’s sizing, the sneaker will retail price for $300. Stay tuned to the Sole Retriever mobile app for the latest updates on this release and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
