Saturday morning cartoons might not hit like they once did or have the same cultural weight, but everyone knows of the wacky adventure of Tom & Jerry. The iconic cat-and-mouse duo has entertained audiences for 85 years, debuting on February 10, 1940. In celebration, the franchise is partnering with Converse to collaborate on an exclusive footwear collection.

Tom & Jerry is no stranger to the Boston-based footwear brand; in 2022, the duo came together for a single collaborative Chuck Taylor. However, they’ve decided to go all out for this 85th-anniversary capsule, including five different sneakers, apparel, and customizable Converse By You Chuck Taylors. We see four pairs of footwear for adults and one for the kids, each adorned with cartoon graphics depicting both characters on the Chuck Taylor’s canvas upper.

Three of the four pairs for the adults opt for uppers covered entirely in cartoons of Tom & Jerry, one showcasing the cat with his jaw dropped to the floor and the mouse with his eyes popping out of his skull. Another feature is a pattern of various moments from the show across a white base. At the same time, the final graphic-covered Chuck Taylor places large drawings of both titular characters on the lateral and medial sides.

For the fourth and most reserved rendition, Converse adds a portrait of Tom on the lateral side of the right shoe and Jerry on the left. Their portraits are also outlined in black and white on the inside of the tongue, flipping the placement to the opposite sneaker. For the kids, the Chuck Taylor All-Star logo is morphed into a cheese wheel that Jerry is happily munching on, with Tom angrily looking on along the lateral side. Final details on all the pairs include tonal midsoles and Tom & Jerry branding on the insole, heel spoiler, and sockliner.

Alongside the five Chuck Taylor designs, there will be customizable Converse By You Tom & Jerry Chuck Taylors, allowing you to add different colors, materials, and graphics to the sneaker's upper. Apparel has also been made to match the footwear, including a Frenemies tee and the Chase hoodie that shows Tom trying to catch Jerry.

The Tom & Jerry x Converse Collection will release on March 6, 2025, through Converse and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s and kids’ sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
