Converse has unveiled the Chuck Taylor All-Star Cruise, a new take on the classic silhouette that’s been enhanced for skateboarding. Converse is no stranger to the skateboarding world, having collaborated with Supreme rider Sean Pablo on a One Star Ox Pro and Union on a Japan-exclusive CX-Pro SK Ox. For the launch of the All-Star Cruise, Converse has prepped a trio of colorways.
Skate-centric updates are the main draw of this Chuck remix. Tough textile canvas dresses a majority of the upper, which is perfect for repeated tricks and taking falls. Suede covers the eyelets, giving the new fat poly laces an extra layer to hang on to before ripping. A layered platform foam midsole serves to differentiate this model from the classic even further. Extended toe rubber appears on the front of the shoe, another improvement in durability. Converse adds more comfort and cushioning with OrthoLite insoles and an EVA-injected outsole. The collection is releasing in options for black, egret, and pink sage.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Cruise has already released through Converse and select retailers, online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $75.
