Danielle Guizio is no stranger to the world of footwear collaborations. The NYC-based designer previously worked with Reebok on two colorways of the Club C Cleated Mid Boot and brought her touch to a friends-and-family colorway of Puma’s newly revived Puma Speedcat. Now, the public can own Guizio’s take on the Puma Speedcat with leather construction.
For Danielle’s new Puma Speedcat Leather, things remain simple, taking on a timeless black-and-white color palette that channels the black asphalt of an F1 race track. Tonal stitching details are found around the toecap and running along the profile, while a white leather formstrip on the midfoot breaks up the primarily black look. An added tag for Danielle Guizio is found near the collar and on the tongue tag, as the left shoe features her last name in white lettering. Back on the heel, Danielle keeps the left shoe standard with the usual Puma cat logo and recalls retro Puma logos with the cat on the right. Underfoot sits a black rubber sole unit.
The Danielle Guizio x Puma Speedcat Leather Black White will release on November 9, 2024, through select retailers and Guizio’s storefront in NYC. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $150.
