The fusion between Puma and the legendary Dapper Dan stands out in the vast landscape of sneaker collaborations. Born from Harlem's vibrant streets, Dapper Dan has long been celebrated for transforming streetwear by blending luxury aesthetics with urban grit. Recent releases, like their “Pre-Game Runway” Pack on the Puma Clyde, have further cemented the partnership's relevance in today's sneaker culture. Now, another pack of Puma Clyde's is set to hit shelves.
This collaboration sees the Clyde take on two distinctive colorways. The first dons a royal mix of regal blue and burnt red, with the dominant color spreading across most of the sneaker, contrasted by detailed stitching and leather lining in the complementary shade. The second colorway paints the sneaker in Puma Black, again accented with the fiery burnt red. Both versions proudly display "Harlem" text overlaying a rubber panel on the lateral heel, paying homage to Dapper Dan's roots. As a nod to Puma's heritage, a chenille panther graces the tongue while the other sneaker displays the “DDP” logo. Grounding each design is a tonal rubber midsole and outsole.
The Dapper Dan x Puma Clyde Harlem Pack will release September 16, 2023, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
