Team USA is currently abroad, competing in international games to prepare for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. This period has showcased a variety of player-exclusive sneakers from Team USA's roster, with one standout coming from Devin Booker. Booker recently took to Instagram to reveal his Nike Book 1 Copper PE, a sneaker that draws inspiration from the iconic Nike KD 4 X-Mas, which is also set to return in 2024.
The Nike Book 1 Copper PE retains the "future classic" design language synonymous with Booker's signature line. This iteration is coated in a striking metallic copper finish across various panels, including the mudguard, toe, midfoot, heel, and collar. These copper elements provide a bold, eye-catching aesthetic, making the sneaker stand out. Black accents complement the copper base, with the Swoosh outlined in copper textiles. The black hues continue on the laces, tongue tag—which features Booker’s logo—and the sockliner.
Underfoot, the sneaker features a black midsole crafted from Cushlon 2.0 foam, designed to provide superior cushioning and comfort. The TPU sidewall enhances support, making it ideal for high-performance play. Additionally, the shoe incorporates a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel for responsive cushioning, paired with a durable black outsole that ensures excellent traction on the court.
Unfortunately for the public, the Nike Book 1 Copper PE will likely remain exclusive to Devin Booker. However, we have some new Book 1s to look forward to, including the Python colorway.
