Montreal-based skate shop and streetwear brand Dime has been on a roll regarding collaborative footwear. We’ve seen the label work with skate-friendly labels like Vans and more sportswear-oriented brands like adidas and Asics. However, Dime is set to work with Merrell 1TRL on a two-pack of Moc Speed Streak colorways to help close out 2024.
Following up on the duo’s work on the Moab silhouette in January 2023, this new project focuses on the more obscure Moc Speed Streak model. The silhouette comes in two color schemes, Black and Brown, each in tonal shades across their designs. On the base, both pairs come with mesh, while the free-flowing panels come in patent leather on all but the mudguard and heel. As for its internal structure, the Moc Speed Streak features a stretchy neoprene that locks the foot in place and keeps things stable on uneven surfaces. Dime retains the rest of the technical features, including the Merrell Air cushion in the heel, the lightweight EVA foam midsole, and the sticky rubber outsole, but adds its flair through a rebranded window on the collar.
The Dime x Merrell 1TRL Moc Speed Streak Pack was first released via Dime online and in-store on November 16, 2024. However, a global release through Merrell and select retailers will occur on November 23. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $140.
