One of the most classic silhouettes in sneaker history, the adidas Stan Smith can be found in the closets of millions around the globe, from your average consumer to the most famous celebrities. While Disney has linked up with The Three Stripes in the past and brought multiple characters to life, the latest round of Disney x adidas Stan Smith colorways includes classic villains like Dr. Doom and even the loveable Muppet, Kermit The Frog.
Shades of white take over the synthetic leather-covered upper while accenting black details land on the heel, midfoot, and atop the tongue. On said tongue, a set of off-white laces run up to meet the classic Stan Smith logo on the right pair, though the left replaces him with Kermit The Frog. Along the midfoot, Stan Smith’s signature is debossed into the leather between the perforated Three Stripes branding. Back on the black heel tab, the phrase “It ain’t easy being green” is split between each pair, a call back to the famous song by Kermit and a way to remind you of trying to stay sustainable. Our last hit of Kermit The Frog details comes via the insole with a rough sketch of the character appearing on the left sneaker while the right hosts a graphic of the Muppet in real life alongside Disney and adidas co-branding. Rounding out the design is the off-white midsole and outsole combo.
The Disney x adidas Stan Smith Kermit is set to release in 2022 through adidas and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
