This 404 colorway is a creative nod to the familiar error message in the digital space, symbolizing a webpage that cannot be found. The theme is cleverly translated onto the iconic Air Force 1 silhouette, stripping back its traditional design to reflect a "missing" upper. The sneaker showcases a minimalist approach with a single piece of patent leather, distinguished only by a central seam on the medial side. The heel of the lateral side carries the message "404 Error The requested upper was not found. Try again," humorously playing error screens. White laces contrast against the sneaker's primarily blue palette, while a .SWOOSH branded lace dubrae adds a touch of metallic silver.
The tongue reimagines conventional branding, with the internal shoe text now front and center and a .SWOOSH logo accompanied by 404 stamped inside. The insole extends the digital theme with a blue screen-inspired design, binary code, and a Nike Virtual Studios stamp on the heel. Completing the design is a classic white midsole and a semi-translucent blue rubber outsole. The sneaker's packaging itself makes a statement. The box is turned inside out, featuring plain cardboard with a Nike Virtual Studios stamp externally, while the interior boasts the standard AF1 white box design.
