The FAMU x APB x Nike LeBron 20 Pack Releases June 16
Updated on •PublishedNike's collaborations with Historically Black Colleges and Universities have produced some of the most coveted releases in recent years. Aside from their collection of Dunks as a part of their Yard Runners series, FAMU has become a favorite for The Swoosh. More specifically, LeBron James’ line under the Nike. Previously, LeBron James had worked with the HBCU on a “Green” and “Black” colorway of the LeBron 7 and a series of LeBron 20 PEs. Now, FAMU and The Whitaker Group-owned retailer APB are taking over a two-pack of Nike LeBron 20s, hitting shelves soon.
Within this two-pack of LeBron 20s are "Safety Orange" and "Coconut Milk" colorways featuring FAMU’s color scheme throughout the design. Both pairs feature an all-leather upper with mesh panels on the tongue, the orange-based pair coming with pebbled leather, and the neutral-based colorway getting faux snakeskin. The colorway's titular shade covers most of the upper, while FAMU's colors land on the Swoosh logos. Snakeskin-like embroidery is present on the topmost lateral Swoosh, while debossed text on the tongue nods to the school. A contrasting foam midsole in a two-tone finish is paired with a monochromatic rubber outsole for both sneakers in the pack. Each pair is housed in custom packaging featuring APB, FAMU, and Nike branding.
The FAMU x APB x Nike LeBron 20 Pack released on May 28 through APB via online and in-store raffles. A online launch occurred on June 2 through the APB website. Following this, Nike SNKRS will release both colorways on June 16. The retail price is set at $200, and they will be available exclusively in men's sizing.
