Nike and its many subsidiaries have long given select collegiate athletic programs exclusive colorways on their lineup of silhouettes - sometimes even honoring the schools specifically as seen on the recent HBCU Dunk Pack. Continuing to pay tribute to these historic universities, LeBron James and Nike have come together to follow up on their previous PE, seen via the Nike LeBron 20, with an “Away” colorway on this same silhouette.
Strong FAMU Rattler vibes come through with the engineered mesh upper on the LeBron 20 getting covered in a forest green hue while orange accents land along the lace set and secondary Swoosh along the lateral side of the upper. Further forest green hits make their mark on the textured leather eyestay and atop the LeBron-branded tongue tag while the heel replaces the normal crown logo with FAMU’s rattler mascot. Providing some pop to the upper and straying from the two-tone orange and green, stacked Swoosh on the lateral side comes in white with a green backing, matching the look of the midsole and its intricate Florida-esque graphic on the forefoot. Rounding out the design is the grippy orange rubber outsole with LeBron’s Dunkman logo in green.
The FAMU x Nike LeBron 20 Away PE will stay a player-exclusive colorway for the FAMU basketball team and, unfortunately, won't receive a public release.
