Hiroshi Fujiwara Teases a fragment design x Nike Book 1
PublishedWhen it came time to roll out Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike Book 1, many online criticized how it was presented to the public before its retail launch. Booker was spotted in various PE colorways, but since the first colorways (widely available) were released in February, the silhouette has been a hit. Marking what could be the first collaboration on the sneaker, Hiroshi Fujiwara has just taken to Instagram to showcase a fragment design version of the Python colorway.
Previously, when Devin Booker was handing out pairs to fans, and friends and family of the Nike Book 1 Python, Fujiwara was one of the lucky few to receive a pair. As for the design done by Hiroshi and his label, we see the signature blue color palette applied to the Swoosh on the midfoot and added fragment logos throughout. Along the tongue tag, the O in Book comes with fragment’s lightning bolt, while the lateral heel comes with a black leather panel that also hosts this design.
The rest of the upper takes on the same faux python skin construction found on the GR pair, with the medial side seemingly keeping things the same with a tonal Swoosh. Underfoot, the midsole features a tooling code, frequently found on fragment design footwear collaborations, paired with a blue and white rubber outsole.
This fragment design x Nike Book 1 has no confirmed release date and may just be a friends-and-family iteration of the previously released Nike Book 1 Python. However, if the pair drops, expect a release through Nike SNKRS and possibly via fragment design and select retailers.
